Acanthamoeba polyphaga protozoa : Free Stock Photo
Title: Acanthamoeba polyphaga protozoa
Description: This scanning electron micrograph (SEM) revealed two Acanthamoeba polyphaga protozoa, as they were interacting through their projecting pseudopodia, from the Latin pseudo = false, and podia = feet, extending from the surface of these organisms. These pseudopodia enable the amoebae to move about, and grasp objects in their environment.
